We are the leading international center for qualitative education and research based in South America.
Dr. Patrick Palmieri launched the Centro de Investigación Cualitativa del Perú (CICPe) in 2017. The CICPe became an Atlas.ti Qualitative Methodology Laboratory at the Universidad Norbert Wiener in 2019. Next, the Center was renamed in 2020 to recognize the extensive network with collaborations across the region, and throughout the world. From 2021 to 2024, the Center home was at the Universidad Norbert Wiener. Currently, the Center is an independent organization engaged in qualitative education and research across South America.

The Institute for Research & Theory Methodologies, in collaboration with the South American Center for Qualitative Research, is pleased to announce the 2025 Classic Grounded Theory International Virtual Conference. This fifth annual research conference will be held from May 1 to 3, 2025.
